Savannah and her friend were moved to take action upon hearing about a litter of kittens born in a remote location, without any means of survival. They decided to embark on a two and a half hour journey to rescue the helpless creatures. However, upon reaching the destination, they were heartbroken to discover that one of the kittens was suffering from a critical eye infection that posed a serious threat to its life.
When Anas found the sick kitten, she named him Scar and was worried about his severe infection. She rushed him to the vet hoping to save his life, but the doctor warned that surgery on such a small, weak kitten would be high-risk. The vet advised that Scar wouldn’t survive without the operation, so Anas took a chance and went ahead with the surgery. Miraculously, Scar survived and Anas knew he was meant to be hers. She bottle-fed him every two hours and now he is a happy, healthy kitten with no health concerns, except for the fact that he lost one eye during surgery. However, Anas has found a way to cure that as well.
To prevent any infection or harm to Scar’s stitches after his surgery, his mother decided to have a tiny eye patch made for him. Despite being very young, Scar had to accompany his mother on various journeys and tasks, and the eye patch was a constant accessory for him. Interestingly, Scar’s eye patch also garnered a lot of positive attention from people he encountered along the way.
Anas mentioned that Scar is fond of his eye patch and it doesn’t hinder him in any way. He never tries to take it off. I believe that instead of people being frightened of him because of his missing eye, it made him appear more approachable.
Scar is a 6-week-old feline who possesses an extraordinary amount of energy and liveliness. In fact, I have yet to encounter any other cat that can match his level of activity. Despite having a challenging beginning, Scar’s current state of contentment and joy is remarkable. He seems thrilled to explore new paths alongside his mother.
